Forgeworks is looking for an Architect to join our Wiltshire studio, working on one-off houses and the sensitive reworking of existing buildings across London and the South West. Our practice combines architecture and interiors at a variety of scales, with a strong focus on thoughtful, design-led projects.
This role offers hands-on experience across all RIBA stages, with responsibility for project delivery, client liaison, and contributing to both architecture and interiors. You will be supported by a Practice Director while leading meaningful, creative work.
We’re seeking someone who is confident in early-stage design development, with experience in Stage 4 technical detailing preferred. Proficiency in SketchUp is essential, along with strong technical coordination skills.
Our Wiltshire studio, established in 2021 and newly refurbished in 2023, is centrally located in Salisbury, close to the train station, countryside, and coast — offering a perfect balance of professional life and rural surroundings.

Location: Full-time, Salisbury (Wiltshire studio)
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Software: Mac OS, AutoCAD, SketchUp

Forgeworks is seeking a RIBA Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our Wiltshire studio, working on one-off houses and the sensitive reworking of existing buildings across London and the South West. Our practice blends architecture and interiors at a variety of scales, with a strong focus on design-led, thoughtful projects.
This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience across all RIBA stages, contributing to both architecture and interiors. You will work closely with project teams and clients, supporting the development and delivery of projects under the guidance of a Practice Director.
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, confident, and curious, with a passion for early-stage design development. Experience with private residential projects is advantageous. Proficiency in SketchUp and other 3D modelling tools is important, alongside strong communication and coordination skills.
